Has anyone heard how they are deciding who stays or leaves. Is it by seniority, last yr reviews, talent assessment or just Store Director's choice? My "VPSM" is known for showing favouritism and I'm concerned.

Probably based on all the critieria you listed. My store brought back the best but also the most willing to do anything managers first. But they also brought back the lazy MyStylist as the cleaner. She didn't actually clean anything, was just a way to get her back in the store.
At this point if you are a store level manager/exec and you haven't heard anything, afraid it might be it.
I hope the poster @eqv+15DDTzY7 does not manage people because it would be so so sad!
Maybe your VPSM will be the one to go! People like those have no business in the workplace. They just stand on top of people and hold them back. Say a prayer!
Maybe if you worked as hard as the names you just mentioned ( won't even repeat your slurs) you would not be so worried and INTIMIDATED by these people. The world is messed up because of people acting like you. Get a grip of yourself and do some self-analysis while you are furloughed or quarantined. It will help!
