Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

I don't view someone posting from another health insurance company as being an issue.
I think that person is just giving us feedback about what is happening.
What is the problem with sharing information.
If the same type of position is getting effected at one place, then it could very well effect you also.

Just to expand on what I posted below. Go ahead and apply to that location. You will have about a one percent chance of obtaining something there. That place is a heavily populated area if you google that area in google and just do a little research. That particular position is entry level and any high school student, ged, community college, university, etc. would jump at an opportunity to apply there. You would be competing against hundreds of online applicants of which a dozen or so of the best educated would get an interview. As I also said, there are anthem employees in the same building. If they lose a position due to a layoff, then would just go online and try to work at the same location where aetna is at. It just makes sense since they reside in that particular area. You folks writing these posts questioning me, don't live in the area of woodland hills california. Do you? Anyway, I just wanted to say that also.

In answer to the two posts. I wrote the question in regard to aetna. Why would I be trying to recruit you. As anyone in the health insurance industry knows, the problems and incompetence is prevalent in all health insurance companies. They use the same outdated procedures. If you want to be tortured then go ahead and apply to aetna after you lose your position from a layoff. I'm a low level employee and a friend of ours happens to work in that division which is the dental provider area in woodland hills, california. The building is shared with anthem. If I wanted to recruit people, wouldn't I ask the anthem employees that I bump into on a daily basis? If they didn't want to switch over then I would ask anyone they would know. That would be a lot easier then going on here and trying to recruit you away from where you are currently working, wouldn't it? I have heard rumors in that building from everywhere. However the place where you work at isn't on the same work campus. That is why I'm asking. I'm not in human resources or close to anyone higher up. So even if I did have the ability to recruit you folks I have no connections with that group of people. Also they tend to hire friends and relatives. Why would I waste my time honestly. I guess you folks have never heard of nepotism at these health insurance places you work for.

I agree with @1mdp+15DD5MP4, I am a little confused with the Aetna posts. Should he/she post in the Aetna thread or are the Aetna posts in efforts to recruit former UHC employees?

We are sharing information related to our layoffs and being supportive. Your repetitive posts about Dental Provider update document process and quantity comparing our company to a competitor Aetna is confusing. Are you trying to recruit one or more of our qualified former employees to be hired by Aetna so they can help improve your process?
