The only incentive is that if you voluntarily retire they might buy you a cake and you can keep your dignity because they will lay you off anyway if you don't take the voluntary retirement.

Retiree Medical Insurance premiums (employee+spouse) went up 22% since last year so beware that this is not a fixed cost but it is good insurance coverage. Try to get them to help pay for health insurance premiums.

Currently, the $500 employee +spouse health insurance coverage cost $22000+ per year when you retiree.

More time for:

Loved ones
p–nhub
Hobbies
Sleeping In
Working on your home
Honey Do List

And Less of:

Taking orders from incompetent mgr
Up/down O&G cycles
Office politics

  • hit coffee

HR bull-hit

You have the option to walk away which is something to feel good about.

Want a participation trophy? Coasting through life accruing a bulging 401K, years of ESPP, bonuses not good enough for you?Didn’t put enough aside, wasted it all on avocado toast?
