Just got a text for my VPSM. She will be calling PL’s tomorrow between 8-10a. It’s going down. I just hope I get a package at this point

Yes i got a group text fr my SM we will be individually be talked to bet 8:30-10 am ... put on your stirrups its gonna be a wild ride or hide out of town . Whichever -after 7 yrs Bambs n 29 yrs with Macys ive seen it gooo down so fast we so lowered our standards -and disappointed our customer - shop but no staff to ring you up....feel bad for the SM ( Just the messenger)who has to break the news .Good Luck to us all however it lands for you!
Yikes...you might be right! But that seems crazy that they plan to cut 50% store employees unless they announce store closures?? I know we "find out tomorrow" (maybe) but this unknown is just awful!!
correct. 1200 for B and M Corporate. not including Stores. Unfortunately stores will be a higher # I assume.. plus god knows what will happen to Regionals and Divisions. Maybe go back to 5 Regions?
Seems to me that the 1200 number you're referencing from the "Hunger Games" post was specifically in regards to Corporate, not Stores. We have 125,000 employees total, or something like that, right? There's no way only 1200 are being laid off.

I believe I read that 50% of layoffs on these threads over the past week BUT no one has confirmed that for sure...yet. Read the post with "Hunger Game" title, they said 1200 people across bloomie's & macys would be let go but not sure how many from each company?

Pretty sure STORES... VPSM is Store Manager. and since we're not required to go into the offices for corporate, it is 100% Stores. Corp ppl will find out via phone.

Yeah I'm a PL and mine just called me and asked if I could come in at 10 tomorrow instead of 10:45
February layoffs were given 3 days notice .
In addition they gave 3 months salary and benefits and then without any notice just an email the day stating they changed the last day and cut a month of salary and benefits.
It’s just truly unbelievable and despicable how all Macy’s colleagues have been treated

Yes the calls are going out tomorrow for permanent layoffs. Last days will be June 30th. Macy’s would want a two week notice, but apparently can’t give one out
