Thanks for your concern about us Kansas people, don't worry I've already found a job that pays more than GE. It's not that hard when you have skills other than going in to collect a paycheck.

Well, the strother lay-off could have been seen two years ago. Lower cost options all around and the Union is just horrendous. Good luck making money in BFE Kansas when you get your last golden check from GE

Unfortunately it’s the unions and the company to blame. About 1/2 people that want to work and feel very fortunate to work there. They have been on the outside and know what it’s like to really work hard. But, their union brothers will always find a reason the put a halt on it. Over 1/2 are lacking the skill to perform the work and would never survive a real job. They advance from other departments or plants and some were brought in by a relative. They constantly complain about the company but, will not look to leave.
Do to their seniority they are now untouchable. “Seniority is not a skill.”
Bad management will do nothing to put a end to the ongoing problems.
The company is a sinking ship.

If you people spent that amount of time working as much as you are on here stirring up b—s—, GE would be a world leader again. Seriously, people, I'd look in the mirror. I am a long time employee. I do agree, they made mistakes. What about the employees? We all know every division prob has 300 troublemakers. Complainers, whiners. Do you want some whine with that cheese fellows? Buck up and get to work...
