Any chance Boeing will use the surplus of manufactured aircraft, dramatically reduced production, curtailed demand, and significantly reduced personnel levels to explore relocating 737 manufacturing and production out of Renton specifically and/or or the PNW in general? There are more are more advantageous economic and political locals across the US, and the company has previously demonstrated an interest in reducing overhead longterm. Sure would hate to get laid off and have nothing to come back to. Not looking for insults, just insight. Thoughts?

Only one place they could move it. The heartland of America Wichita ks. Spirit builds it all anyway. Boeing owes Wichita for taking back the tanker we were promised. We put all of our resources in getting the tanker decision reversed and they yanked it. There is no other place that can do it. So the question should be will Boeing move production to WICHITA THE GREAT MIDDLE AMERICA
On the topic of Texas, I heard that Austin is a lot more liberal than Berkeley. I am an Independent; so I adapt anywhere! ;-)

Its not that easy to relocate max line anywhere unlike 787. The dreamliner for most part comes already built from various partners and few big pieces are assembled here. Also all the tooling for dreamliner is portable unlike 737 max. If they move they will need an experienced workforce from commercial division to work on it. Not sure how many people will be willing to relocate to a new place. All of you must have heard stories how good carolina turned out. Every year a new major problem comes out of there. To the extent that some airlines refused to take 787s built in south carolina.
Perhaps it would be a good idea is to move some lines over to Canada that already has few Boeing plants.
