Thread regarding DeVry Inc. layoffs

DeVry and Cogswell

Does anyone know exactly what the relationship is between DeVry and Cogswell and why they are feeding off our resources?

The same company, Palm Ventures, owned Heald College before they sold it for a hefty profit, after which Heald burned up like space debris re-entering the atmosphere. I suspect that either Heald or Cogswell might follow in that path.

Either DeVry is going to fall on the sword for Cogswell; or Cogswell is going to fall on the sword for DeVry. Either case, both are dead ducks.

They are individual colleges that do not intermix. Just the same investor

There’s more anxiety from this buy out. It’s not like the other school looks to be coming to help our failing schools here. It’s some business decision I’m sure to get access to our title I’ve funding when we draw down

They are vultures. I have seen this before in other "partnerships". One company basically feeds off the resources of the other. As I highly doubt that DeVry would need anything from a no name small school on the west coast, I'm sure they are feeding off of us and the Title IV funding that we draw.
