July 17th rumored to be a company wide layoff event

Like the post below I've now heard that there are plans for a major layoff event scheduled for July 17th. I haven't heard the actual percentage but apparently managers have been asked to provide names in multiple orgs. Looks like a bleed to try and boost the stock price. This company is the worst. Eddie Edwards should have been ousted after buying ARRIS. Overpaid just so they could get Ruckus. What a joke.

ARRIS bought the non-cell phone portion of Motorola in 2015. Both Motorola and CommScope were part of General Instruments, which is why most declared the "old boys network" was back together when CommScope bought ARRIS. Seems like some good old boys are sick of the dysfunctional CommScope executives, and others were summarily dismissed because the CEO thinks he's all that and more.

Yup, CommScope bought ARRIS for Ruckus, after being outbid by ARRIS who paid way too much for that bloated company and realized only after the purchase.

Commscope made the decision to become highly leveraged when they acquired Arris, then are shocked when the market punish their stock price for being an high risk investment! Employees once again will pay the price for management lack of vision. Go figure.

Wait, wait, wait, didn't Google buy Motorola for their cellphone patents and then later sell it off in two pieces, 1 cellphone patents to Lenovo and 2 all the rest sold to Arris?

Is this the same company?

Wait. Did Commscope try to buy Ruckus, and get outbid by Arris in 2018? And then end up buying Arris (and Ruckus) in 2019? What about Arris Head End group (that competes with Cisco) and the old Motorola group? Didn't Commscope used to be Motorola?
