We've been open over a month and have had no replenishment of stock. Our store looks like we are halfway done with being liquidated, and we still have no word on if or when we'll get a truck. Are the people in the warehouse on furlough until Sept 8th too?

"I think it is illegal for them to steal back the stock, IMO."
It's not illegal to repo a car in your possession that you haven't made payments on, this is essentially the same thing
If I'm the repo man asked to take back a few cases of Pepsi, I'd assume the owner of that store was the brokest a– dude in the world.

Warehouses are overflowing with merchandise. That TransformCo has ordered but not paid for as contractually obligated. The news from the 19 Bangladesh vendors confirms that. Sears didn't even have the capital to stock the leftover stores over the make or break holiday season after liquidating 100 of them, which was long before coronavirus came along. The fat lady is singing.
It's worse than that even, Pepsi even seized the stock they ALREADY HAD in store. How untrusted and broke are you that Pepsi puts soda on consignment then takes it back?
Can't be as bad as Kmart. Pepsi Frito Lay refuses to deliver Pepsi and chips and the agent won't return our calls.
