Cogswell has been going through major layoffs for five years straight. Their current enrollment is under 500 students. Closer to 450. What a joke.

Cogswell University of Silicon Valley (name change on June 1st from Cogswell Polytechnical College due to the addition of two more master's degrees) reduced staff as a result of the impact of the COVID19. In August they brought back part of the outreach team that was let go in March. The University experienced significant new student growth over prior year. It's sad the misinformation that put out on this site.
then why are they feeding off of our resources?
DeVry is separate from Cogswell. That is what we are all told.
Cogswell laid off all their high school admissions in March, then a handful of key people and academics (10) in May, and the next round will probably be end August early September when they don't hit their Fall term.
This comment potentially causes confusion by conflating Cogswell Polytechnic, a school in Northern California focusing on digital media, animation and video game design, with DVU. These are two different organizations with different CEOs. If you want to draw a parallel and mount a logical, fact-based argument that Cogswell Poly could be a harbinger of the direction and possible path of DVU, that’s fine, but these are different schools and likely have different underlying fundamentals at this point in time. If you believe the behind-the-scenes VC owners have similar designs for both of these business units and why, we’re all ears. But DVU and its leadership are not Cogswell Polytechnic.
