Of course they are. High default rates, grads not getting jobs and paying back their loans. This has been the case for years with that organization. They tried to rebrand under Adtalem. Just to try and distance themselves from the bad press and lawsuits.
The latest I saw is that DeVry has been on HCM1 reporting for financial reasons since 2016. And we all know that Cogswell has been floundering for years now. How is it that they came together? Usually, it's a strong company that buys out or acquires a struggling company. Not two of the same???
We still have yet to understand what our relationship is with DeVry. Everything was so hush hush. I found out from others who saw a press release! We didn't even find out from our own management!
Not surprised. DeVry had major lawsuit issues for years. Predatory recruiting practices, loan defaults, placement inflation. The lady that they brought in this summer came from DeVry
