Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Boeing Layoff's --------------> No Surprise

Many months ago people on this site warned about layoff's. Boeing always has layoff's. The Question is when and why? Normally Boeing has layoff's due to low production rates or not many orders or the need to cut costs in order to make large profits. This time is a special circumstance the "VIRUS". For those employees that understand the way Boeing operates and plan ahead you will be fine. Save money, use cash to purchase things when you have the money. No charging of things - only buy when you have saved up the money. Live below your means. Find a good cash coach to help ensure you are doing all you can to stretch your money. Utilize Dave Ramsey techniques for you and your family. Those that have been smart and planned will be laughing all the way to the bank. People on this site in the past were trying to help those new Boeing employees to prep for layoffs in the future to avoid heartache. Hopefully some employees did use the simple techniques to prepare for the layoffs so they would have more peace during this hard time.

Why save, I don't have to. I can spend ever dime on my $70k lifted truck and bass boat. My $600k house is mortgaged to the hilt. But I'm not scared. The union said they would protect me when I hired on, it is in exchange for paying my dues every month. They would not lie to me.

Boeing hasn't done layoffs like this since 9/11, so I don't know what you're talking about. This isn't going to be about the virus anymore, but economical downfall. Boeing will meet its demise.
