Not even an email from my manager. Sabre is (or was) an excelent company. But how furlough employees where treated is disgusting. I had no conversation with my manager even on the week between the comunication and the start of the furlough.
Yes, my Manager has had contact with me to see how I am doing. Only personal, which is the way it should be right now.
Call me naive but I was really looking forward to severance once the furlough officially becomes a lay-off.
They longer they drag it out the more certain I am that management will find a reason to deny severance.
Nope! And if he did I'd probably assume it was to finally put me out of my misery.
You forgot the add the international icon for "irony" in your post.
i seriously dont even know who my boss is anymore. My upstream all quit !
Should be a fun ride, just pay me my earned severance and ill be on my way good sir !
My manager has sent me a few brief emails and I’ve checked in with my remaining direct reports once.
Nope
yes,we are in touch and I personally find it a nice gesture. But my manager strictly follows the rule of not discussing any work related topics,it is purely to check on how our furloughed team members are doing/feeling these days.
Yes and it is awkward and needless.
Yes - I have had conversations with my manager. I (as a fuloughed manager) have had routine contact with my furloughed team (both individually and as a team). We're all looking forward to Sabre's recovery.
nope 🙄
- until furloughed employees have found new jobs I think it would be a needlessly awkward conversation.
