Since UP stocks are skyrocketing the company will recall all furloughed workers and put locomotives to work.

Stock typically rose during past layoffs. Don’t get your hopes up

The stocks are recovering previous losses. They have yet to reach their previous high of two years ago.
We're also in a bear market. Those gains are tentative at best. I'm expecting further cuts in the third quarter.
