Sungard is so badly mismanaged that a complete crash is inevitable. COVID-19 just hastened us on our way to that point. But the management is sure using it as an excuse to justify the poor state of the company - as if everything is the pandemic's fault. Talk about finding an ideal scapegoat to hide their own failings...

Sorry to read some of these comments, but they basically underpin the reason I left three years ago. Sungard AS has - or had - a great customer base on which to upsell and develop more relevant market services, but never took the opportunity to do so. It was only a matter of time before the services became outdated and irrelevant; with no real capable leadership, this meant that there was no alternative to plug the lost revenue. All the splendour of the Titanic in its heyday and I fear a similar fate.
@Unisys..... Yes Q2C still there but on the way out in favor of an even bigger t–d Apttus.
If KR went to sales, who did he replace?
What is KR's new job title?? In sales?? serious question..
Is Q2C still around? What is the sales quoting tool these days. I was laid off 8 years ago
Today's announcement was nothing more than rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic.
Tick. Tock.
KR Iis protected by Andy D.
He is the perfect custodian for Sales as Andy D runs the rest of this business into the wall.
Whichever business units sit under sales needs to be prepared for the impeding hack which is what KR would’ve signed up for as part of the job.
He is not in position to come up with a grand plan to start generating revenue.
He is in position as a hatchet man.
Good luck.
Sounds like sideways and out
KR promotion or move sideways and hopefully out of the frickin door! ;-)
KR to Global Sales......another place to hide?
Yep, pandemic is right on time for SG. Beginning with using to excuse zero merit increases. Because, you know, corona really effected Q1. :(
Don't miss it don't miss it at all.
Sad state of affairs
Amen to that
