Having the entire staff in on the weekends to service twice the amount of customers is the point. Those of you left have a job to install and service customers. Not to make your life easier. You sound like lazy Verizon techs.
But if the company forces more guys to work Saturday and Sunday they can double book those days dummy. Instead of halving half the work force in they have the entire workforce in. There will only be critical calls on Tuesday Wednesday handled by contractors. See you Saturday and Sunday.

What are you talking about, we work weekends already with staggered shifts. Sun-thurs and tues - sat. Weekends covered. Most people have families, no reason to be forced to work the whole weekend. Dummie.
Read and understand your contract. The company can give in some cases 14 day notice for shift changes depending what was agreed upon. Ask for volunteers 1st and if no takers then they go by inverse seniority.
Weekends are when your customers want you out to fix things, you dummies.
This is definitely a ploy to get us to quit. They won’t get that satisfaction from me especially in these trying times where no company is hiring. If working weekends is what it takes to keep my job and benefits then be it. May God protect us and hopefully give these devils the karma they deserve for being greedy and self centered with no regards for the working class or their families.

Time is ticking down I’m sure you can put up with working a few weekends before we’re all gone. Don’t be stupid it’s what they wanna do and we are not part of the plan. I doubt we even get a severance package like the other technicians that we’re laid off. Dude doesn’t look good I will be using my sick time on weekends.
