Its been three weeks already. Lot of water has passed through. On May 5 phone call, HR told me it would take 2-3 weeks to get the package. Didn't see anything yet. May be too much work to process by leftover people.

That’s crazy I got laid off on 4/28 and still haven’t seen anything
No one is sending you a hard copy...everything is digital.
Laid off on 4/28 severance hit today.
And the person whose job it is to mail your packets is laid off with the unopened email in server still.
Go to a library next time to print it yourself or keep waiting based on your dumb decision.
I haven’t gotten any of mine.. got laid off on April 29th from Duncan, OK... requested hard copy of packet instead of email.

When they pay out severance, what are they supposed to deduct? Of course taxes... but are they to take out medical insurance and 401k deductions?

change W-2 to nine and worry about taxes next year if you actually are that hard up or dumb for assuming it’s a gift and untaxed dirty fingers.
Also still waiting for shipping boxes to return company equipment.
I was let go on 4/28. I received my severance on 5/20. Be prepared, you lose 1/3 for taxes.
Took almost 30 days for me to receive all my money in 2015.
Contact a lawyer... they have to pay you guys out in a certain amount of time. A dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow - and they are stalling.
Should have been paid on the next pay-day, assuming you signed and returned your paperwork in time.
I got laid off May 4 with several other people I still keep in touch with and none of us have received our severance pay
Everyone I have spoken to is still waiting for theirs.
