Will Customers Ever Trust Allscripts Again?

I hate to sound like a bad Michael Moore movie, but will customers and employees ever trust Allscripts again? Doubtful. As an employee, I’d have one foot out the door with no interest in helping customers. As a contractor, I might stay on if the billable hour was high enough but have no interest in staying or helping customers. The Public has to look at this company poorly. Malware infections, data breaches, and corruption all point to classic SOX problems. As a customer, I’d only want the product if it was free and even then that’s a stretch. As a former customer and stockholder, I learned my lesson...

Clients are fed up with giving Allscripts one chance after another. Can't afford to keep writing off thousands of dollars due to Allscripts mistakes. Ransomware and deficient products and many broken promises. It's sad to watch but they are their own worst enemy.

Well, if by “Allscripts” you mean PB/LK, definitely! However, I have come across wonderful co-workers who are forever ready to give their best to the team’s objectives. PB/LK/Board members - RESIGN NOW!!!

Yes, it's not a trivial decision to switch EHR systems. It's very costly and time consuming. The hospital and it's users must have been very unhappy.

But in this case the complaints were apparently so bad the the hospital chose to dump the Allscripts system and incur the pain of switching to another system. That's how bad the Allscripts system was.

@1qxz+156eq4DL: tbh, I dont think there's any system that hosputal staff won't have complaints about. I've heard the same things from users of the top two systems as well.

That's not to say that our systems are great, but it's not like the hospitals don't know what they're buying beforehand.

I recently went for some lab work at a hospital where they were switching from Allscript to another non-Allscripts system. The data entry person said they "hated the Allscripts" system and "couldn't wait to stop using it"

Imagine pulling up to a traffic light
In a garbage can on four wheels
The salesman said its great
Your friends won't ride with you
The guys at the oil change laugh behind your back
Your mechanic is seeking therapy
And you look at the guy next to you at the traffic light
Hes driving a Tesla

Did clients ever really trust Allscripts? I doubt if they did. They were forced to use it by their management. I recently went to an urgent care where they had some Allscripts installed and the nurse said she hated it. The cracks are open, the ship is sinking, its a question of WHEN not IF.
