Layoffs are happening, if you dont trust me - ask around... Also they are putting folks on PIP without valid reason - it's a soft layoff - they are pushing people out by doing this - folks freak out and jet. This is subtle but it does miracles for Deloitte - it's funny that they are not doing PIPs when times are good - as soon as the economy becomes soft they start the PIP game.
Now, to be frank, other companies are doing this and we have perfected this here in India.
Other than that, COVID related layoffs are happening - so, ask around.
