Thread regarding IBM layoffs

A front row seat to the failure of capitalism!

Income inequality
Profit over environment
Hypocritical claims of transparency
Empty customer service
Reactive, not proactive
Failure to communicate

You can't commoditize labor- people are not robots- people have built and run, and now teach, these: International Business Machines! Yet somehow, you have no use for these people who are no longer the lowest bidder in the market THEY created.

It might have kept going much longer if not for the rampant greed of the 1%. You merely hasten the burning down of capitalism itself. It's nothing more than Les Miserables for the modern world.

The powers that be should be ashamed, but their moral compass is offline.

We have not be living under capitalism for more than 100 years. We were sold out many, many years ago. A central bank is a plank of communism. Bailouts are not capitalism. Profits for the wealthy and socialism for the losses... again, not capitalism.

You closing statement is spot on...the powers that be do not have a moral compass.

@1hdd: I'm sorry, but 80% of the population being maybe two or three paychecks away from homelessness and 40% of the population being unable to cover an emergency $400 expense without having to make a trip to the pawn shop to hock dearly departed Grandma's diamond ring ain't prosperity, Skippy.

I've got nothing against capitalism, but we don't have that anymore. What we've got now is a grotesque perversion of capitalism (i.e., crony capitalism) and I have a WHOLE LOT against that. Something has to change.

Are you really that stupid and clueless?

You do know in Russia the income inequality is even worse than here. Just blew your delusion right out of the water cupcake.

Capitalism has been here for 250 years and will be here for another 250 years. Strongest economy on the planet. What part of that do you not understand?

Even my 10 year old nephew understand that.
