“Mexi-Mart” the hometown segment has been ruined by the Mal-cops Mr. Lampert has put in place... now gone... with lawsuits in tow. He had a good group of owners who believed his mis-representations of the business model. They could’ve seeded in product that they purchased just like ACE, TrueValue, Do-it-Best allow to prop up the program while SEARS navigated out of all of the Circus noise of the Bankruptcy. To save the brand. Instead they are in lawsuits now... the owners have the same operating expenses + local taxes to PAY and feed their families. The dime is very thin...With HomeTown he could’ve rebuilt the brand with the help of each and every little shop owner. With the owners he could’ve created an elite buying group. Rebuilt the markets and increased the value of Kenmore. BUT he listened to the wrong people. Listen to the old owners who complain they have the knowledge.

Transformco would have at least saved a few million by Eddie actually hiring a CEO instead of an office of ceo.. wth I think Transformco/ SHC was great at hiring 20 people to do 1 job up top and 1 person to do 20 jobs at store level. Kinda of like a 10 year old handling the companies finances.

I mean whats to say? The closing and reopening of stores has been the only eventful thing that happened. What else is there even to put out a release about? The only other thing that's really happened in the past year was the hometown acquisition, that was months ago.

Excellent question, in this time of world crisis, with the business shutdown, where is leadership?
Obviously they've been taking money and setting it on fire. That's what they should have been doing. If Eddie shut down all the stores when he took over at CEO and started writing checks for doing nothing, wouldn't everyone including himself be better off?
