Just wondering who made the decision to furlough employees and how were they picked seems funny it's all supervisors and managers but employees with health conditions never got asked

That is very accurate. I'd add that some people informed those senior members with closed-door lies to protect their own arses.
Near term vs. Long Term you say? I'd say it's more like Short Term vs. NOTHING, because there is no long term. Hahaha
