Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

I'm out!!

Just received and accepted an offer from a firm in Arizona, (Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe area). I just sent a colorful and scathing resignation to the HR Department via email. I requested they add me to the list of "NO REHIRE STATUS" My wife can and will work remotely. This 30 year employee will not be returning to SeaWorld or return to the state of Florida EVER!! Did I come here to gloat, no not at all, just decided to share my news to encourage those that have an exit plan, anything is possible. I start my new career on June 8th. Best of luck to all SEAS employees. Crazy Ivan has left the building

Congrats! The outside world is quite amazing. You may experience feelings similar to leaving an abusive relationship. If so just know they are normal and you’ll get through it.

I left several months ago to work at a great company and it was the best feeling ever!!
Plus I’m still working, from home, with no layoffs in sight. Not gloating either, just the facts.
There are opportunities out there — you just have to be patient in your search but keep searching.
We were all told at SW that everyone is replaceable.
