People I've talked to that got laid off today have gotten one month per year of service. Not the worst, I guess.

Well today May 20th they did some deep and wide staff cuts at all levels. Myself and a number of coworkers being included. Prior to today a number of contractors were given notice too. IMO it was too deep in some areas and there will be collateral damage. Tough times.
