They started trying to nit pick about punctuation, which I went toe to toe with them on QA, couldn't get me there and then out of the blue, let me go one Wednesday morning. Had worked for them 20 years with no pay increase AT ALL due to me being at high end of scale. Said I would be receiving an exit packet, never got it, have emailed and texted my manager, called and left message at HR and still no packet. I was making more than an entry level person, but had the experience and knowledge that of which they were not willing to pay . Poorly run company for sure.

Same thing happened to me. I see a pattern here; they eliminated all of us that had 20 years with them and were their higher paid employees. They do not care about their people.
My layoff identical to yours after 20 years. No HR communication at all. I think they had an agenda to get rid of employees from higher minimum wage states. At end became extremely critical of date of service type errors or omissions. But stated layoff due to COVID 19. No concern given to the employees.
