Is this just my local area? Company doing away with the position? LEAP class is also suspended indefinitely so current trainees can’t get promoted?

To anyone active here, the Walgreens subreddit www.reddit.com/r/walgreensstores would love your news and input. It's much more CSA/SFL/PHT based than topix used to be but its a more frequented site than this for info sharing.
dumb–s, not laying off, that would be a train wreck. lol, they cant even find store managers to run stores, because it's not worth it, why would you get rid of more qualified people. hell you cant even find sfls.
Haven't heard about ASM layoffs. We are being to asked to hold off on ASMT promotions at this time. LEAP is being postponed due to social distancing issues. The company is looking at revamping the program. Will most likely be virtual as we enter a new normal.
It's this official? Assistant store managers will all be laid off starting on May 15th or they will be offered part time cashier positions, but luckily most assistant managers have the qualifications to get a top flight job at Burger King or Wendy’s
What about McDonald's? Please tell me ASMs can get a job at McDonald's.
