Reason for delay is mgmt is determining which one of their buddies will be shifted to other divisions and how they can keep others. This has happened through many layoffs over the years. Its not what you know it is who you know. That being said i probably would do the same. It will end up k–ling Aviation as end up with many managers and no worker bees.

GE Aviation Greenville extended the TLOW another 4 - 6 weeks.
In Huntsville on April 1 we had 4 weeks TLOW, yesterday they added another 6 weeks until May 4. Full health insurance provided until then.
Anyone have any news about Hookset? I was on 4 with of TLOW and I just had another week added.
Just got layoff, 6 weeks...but salary was hit with permanent loss of jobs. they want to keep the hourly employees, return date maybe in June. full health coverage for 6 more weeks.
That’s the general VRIP package and the same as a lay-off. Same offer Power sent out April 10.
About 1/2 of the 10% got the axe today. Tomorrow the rest are told. Better than the junk they did on VRIP. Get 6 months insurance and can draw unemployment that VRIP didn't have. Both VRIP and layoff get week per year. Poor fools that took VRIP.
My manager told me we would hear in about a week. His explanation was in regards to cash transactions going through. Just heard salary layoff notices will be issued today and Wednesday. Six months medical and a weeks pay for every year of service. They are finished shuffling personnel and placing others in other divisions. The music has stopped. Have you found a chair?
