Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

Diversity? Women in Positions of Power? Years of BS Excuses! Now they decide to be Ethical?

I find it rather sickening that the company just now decides as part of Project Descend to ensure "diversity" and "women in higher positions." If you were an ethical company, you would make the right hiring decisions all along, regardless of gender or background. If a person is fit to be in a position then promote them. Don't wait for another company (McKinsey) to tell you the new quotas you need to hit. Now they are scrambling and throwing people into these positions that don't even have the right experience or technical background. And MM and the CEO are trying to sell you on this "diversity" pitch! This will eventually backfire and continue to degrade whats left of the culture. What a bunch of bafoons.

Correct observation! None of the women have the experience a PREMIER company would require of its officers. A few men don’t either. Equal employment opportunity in that regard!
