The EVP kershaw managing of OXY Qatar, all he did was being an as* kisser for the Qataris employing any qatari national that would walk in the door, give them higue salaries for little or no work actually done, he bumped unqualified qataris into management and VP roles all to please their ego and in the end that didnt paid off and OXY didnt get the Qatar contract extended. As a reward he and his buddies (mainly scotish mafia of godfather Ken Dillon) we was put in charge of GoM for which they had no expertise as Qatar was just shallow water operation
I definitely see the potential for incidents on the horizon (no pun intended). If there were an incident at this time, the mutual aid clause would kick in but Oxy would have issues paying the bills.

We can only pray and hope, but the Legacy OXY Qatar boys needed a home, so they gave them GoM Director, VP and EVP roles.
BSEE should know that as distressed company(OXY) could never manage a Macondo or Piper Alpha situation right now.
Imagine if we needed vessels, helicopters, boom, chemicals and personnel? We are so f’d. The US gov should force an OXY GoM sale for the purposes of community safety and protection of US waters.
I’m uncomfortable with how we are being managed! I’m afraid we’ll have catastrophe sooner rather than later.
