Thread regarding Wex Pharmaceuticals Inc. layoffs

Unprofessional behaviour of the Management continues , even in these times of crisis

We all know that our over inflated management structure has never behaved in a way that a management behaves at serious and successful companies. They were always uninterested about anything important that goes on at work, turning their backs on any serious issue that we have to face, while not missing the opportunity to micromanage us regarding issues that are far from important or essential. I guess that was always the way to let the hard working employees know who’s boss, given the fact that they lacked knowledge and leadership. That behavior of multiple tiers of management was present at this company for a while, long before the Covid-19 crisis was even on the horizon. However, I honestly thought that when the Covid-19 threat started to be a reality, at least some of them would try to step up, get more involved in the work, and at least try to be leaders. Nothing like that has happened. Just a lot more of the same old. Do they really think they are untouchable, or are they just clueless to that degree? Logic would dictate that lower and middle management would be the first on the chopping block for layoffs, if the situation should get ugly at the company, given that there are too many of them as it is, and that their contribution to real work is minimal.
