Congratulations you’re not furloughed. Your reward is NO merit increase, more work (cause of all the furloughs), and the latest DEFERRED BONUS! If you have been furloughed consider yourself lucky. You get your bonuses, unemployment, an extra 600 from the government and don’t have to deal with this sh–ty company anymore. Staples will be gone in a couple of years.

SD didn’t understand the business sufficiently well before he started making changes to it. For someone who is supposedly customer focused, he didn’t take into account the value that was being provided to customers by many sales teams daily. Add in asset sales, poor hiring and promotion decisions in the US AND Canada (MM), and you now have a bad strategy, incompetent leadership and too much debt.
The bonus was an insult. SD destroyed our business with his GTM disaster and we pay the price for his screwup. I was more excited when my shipment of Charmin Mega rolls arrived today than seeing that pathetic bonus. And there’s no unemployment for part-time furlough in our state.
Unemployment is a joke... most of us who are furloughed havent seen a dime yet. The state I live in doesn’t give back pay and has the glitchiest site, that is down 80% of the day. No one wins in this situation. no one.
Now people are on here complaining they kept their job. Jeez Louise.
Be happy you are not furloughed the bonuses were pathetic and unemployment is not being paid out in several states due to eligibility. There are employees who are not able to feed their families or make their rent. Furlough is not a positive and anyone celebrating, please find another job somewhere else. For the associates that are struggling because of the Furlough- show some respect.
A couple of years?! Hahaha Let's be honest... we're taking about months, not years.
