Yes. This shutdown is hurting people and the economy. The idea behind it is short term pain so we can reopen the economy as soon as possible. If we do nothing it will be worse, people sick and dying for months is also bad for the economy. Sick people don’t shop or go to restaurants, dead people definitely don’t.
