@OP In any industry involving resource extraction you should expect perpetual layoffs. This is especially true about oil & gas. The increasingly green economy also means that very few oil & gas firms will recover to pre-Covid levels of productivity and employment.

If you're seeking stability you should look elsewhere. Good luck to all.

If you read Lorenzo's message from Monday AM, the process would be carried out over the next several months. This included the personnel reduction and the rooftop consolidation. Obviously one would assume rooftop consolidation would naturally take more time to be carried out.
