VP to admins let go in Sugar Land these past couple of weeks. Rumor has it they’re done...at least for this round.

Such a shame! Baker was a great company when I joined 20 years ago. COVID and the Russia/Saudi disagreement tanked the market. You can see the GE influence on how this is being handled and how they now treat their people. You are only a number and only the top guys matter. Sad to see as Baker had great people!

This is absolutely devastating news, here in Aberdeen we haven't been told of any redundancies yet, pretty sure it's coming though.

Good luck to everyone

Typical behavior is to not tell middle managers anything, just give them a list and tell them percent to whittle.
Once they have suffered through this, then it bubbles up a level, and they are shown the door.
Worse case higher up is cut and entire division is closed. No need to worry about WARN, it’s COVID-SARS-2 fault.
No recourse. And in Texas it’s at will. Don’t let door hit you in the ...
Sad but true.
Best of luck, we all need it.

Layoffs have been on the table since BH separated from GE back in Sept. BH over-hired, especially in DS throughout 2019, and they have a ton of leftover dead weight from GE who should retire but won't. Covid-19 is the perfect excuse to clean house.

Managers are staying quiet and nobody knows what is going on until it happens. Leadership needs to be more transparent to those who have worked their tales off for this company. We all deserve honesty and transparency. Completely ashamed of how I’m seeing people treated.

If all the workers are being let go and only managers are left, who will do the actual work. My manager certainly can not do it. He does not have a clue to what I do. Just sits in his office and looks at something on his computer screen.

If you have direct reports you are safe! If you actually work, then just say your prayers! They are going to change the name to baker management when it is all over. Only people left will be managers!

Leaders were given the numbers they need to reduce apparently last Friday/Thursday. I have heard of a good handful of people with desk jobs let go.

The started Rankin Rd yesterday and will do NAL Operations personnel by the end of the week. No managers are being let go yet just the employees that actually are doing the daily work.
