If thats the case why dont they just sell it to charter or merge with them or something. Or t mobile buy us.
Charter stock is like 450 a share. Altice is like 27 bucks

It’s not fake news people, good people with allot of knowledge on and in the cable systems have been fired or if you prefer “let go”. They shut down most of the local offices supposedly due to “not enough foot traffic”.
They just fired everyone on the AUSA side at the current local office leaving only one supervisor and two warehouse employees left at that site. I’ll be surprised if any of us are left by the end of the year. This company continues to let the plant go and focus only on the money or profit side. We have been told many lies or misinformed for one reason or another. Things have gotten so bad that the union has been voted in at several locations. The company has no loyalty to the customer or to their workers.
We (Suddenlink) as a company used to have a good name and reputation which sadly Altice has ran into the ground and continues to do so.
They have made things so difficult to contact anyone, either it be a customer trying to contact a rep or a field technician trying to contact someone at VDO. It’s ridiculous how they are running things and expect everything to be ok or point the finger at everyone to let us know “we aren’t doing it right”. This company is broken, and I don’t see Altice trying to fix anything, they just screw everyone over one way or another to make more of a profit and almost everyone and everything is expendable.

Seems like layoff happened because their European market is not recovering very well. Just looking at stock trends there probably funneling money back to Europe to keep it alive. I wouldn't doubt that they are looking to sell pieces of the company to send more cash overseas. The FCC was dumb to let a European company buy us out.

Altice USA has rebounded and ATC.AS has fallen 50% with a 5.8% recovery at the moment.

Thank everyone for your post, knowledge/communication is our power

stay strong and safe out there.

All of AUSA WAS LETGO IN MY OFFICE.
A Director told us that they were not done, he was told that ATS was next could happen as soon as in the next two weeks. If you can find a job in these hard times leave this company has no loyalty. No 20% hazard pay has been seen instead layoffs and paycuts with cut hrs is that perfect timing.

Our office took a direct hit, even though we were told our retail would be making outbound calls to help keep things moving along until we could reopen to the public, only to whacked with a lay-off on what I would call a very unapologetic-sounding conference call. A lot is about unfold and I have a feeling people who have some insider knowledge are about to let it all air out when they find out their jobs are in jeopardy. There’s some shady sh– going on behind the scenes of this company and if you think back on it, Altice has been crooked since the day they took over. Watch and see.

Yes. My salary was cut 20% which is considered “partial furlough “ with the HOPE of coming back to my regular salary.

Not partially furloughed but I’d assume cut in pay and reduced hours.

Not fake news. I was put on partial furlough and I know many that got laid off. These are definitely troubling times. It will be working it’s way towards ATS. All of this happened to USA employees as of right now.

And when they find out that the company can still run fine with those drastically cut hours those people will keep those people with those hours in those positions.

From what information I’ve been able to get second hand. 250 layoffs and another 50ish “partial furloughed”. All cuts came on the AUSA side but rumors say it’s coming to the ATS side also. My old job is gone but I remain. Many people I know and respect are all leaving by weeks end. One hourly employee says she received a 20% cut and reduced from 55 hour average to 32 hour max. I also lost 4 previous bosses that I know of so far.

(employee)

As advised by Human Resources on the conference call earlier today, you are being placed on a partial furlough effective April 18, 2020.

Your new base will be reduced by 20% to $(dollar amt) paid bi-weekly. While you continue to be paid on a salary basis, regardless of the number of hours you work, the expectation is that you will work less time in connection with the reduction in your weekly salary and the changing business needs.

Your manager will reach out to you by the end of the week to discuss your expected work schedule.

Except as set forth in this letter, all other terms and conditions of your employment, including your at-will status, remain unchanged.

Decisions like these are never made lightly, and we regret the impact they may place on individuals and their families. Your work is still very valued - our services are more important than ever given the pandemic, and by making these changes we expect to come out strong and be able to bring you back to full-time hours.

Thank you be safe and stay healthy.

Sincerely,

Altice USA Compensation

California AUSA took a hit all but one lazy Director kept her job.

About half (maybe more) of AUSA left in NC market got laid off. USA was slim anyways but now razor thin remains. Those left were reduced hours between 20-50%

For us in Texas, AUSA was hit, and not ATS, but no telling what may happen tomorrow with this company.

Stay safe everyone & keep the post coming.
