So, no mention of the mass non-staff layoff yesterday?

Do we have any estimates of how many have been axed? Any guesses?

Any idea of PMs and production managers get affected in things like this?

EXECUTIVE PAY CUTS? Of course not!!! A bunch of these executives, especially on the CBS side, received MASSIVE executive retention deals with bonuses equalling like a year salary (in addition to other benefits). These people won't give up a CENT to save even ONE job. They simply only care about themselves. Follow the money.

Of course there won't be any executive pay cuts. And yeah, most PBEs should have been staff from the get go, and this company twists itself in knots to find justifications to keep them misclassified.

Any word about executive pay cuts? How many essential PBEs (people who should've never been PBE in the first place) could've been saved with 20% pay cuts?

And all this after starting a "$100 million coronavirus" relief fund that probably won't even benefit those that got laid off.

6 PBEs out of the 10 person team at Logo/NewNowNext laid off. A sad day for one of the last remaining brands in LGBTQ+ media.

all departments. Creative, production management, project management, pretty much everything. Seems to have been mostly PAs and APs, so they're starting from the bottom.

You're not an id–t. It's a weird term that shouldn't exist, because they should all be regular employees.

You are not an Id–t. PBE has to be some sort of HR type term. I've worked here over 30 years and never heard that term.

PBEs are "project based employees" - basically freelancers, permalancers. The employees who have as much work and same hours but aren't given benefits

Freelancers at Nickelodeon were decimated, and there was no answer on whether it was the end or the beginning.

They cut some freelancers off in our department. All of the survivors, including myself, had their hours cut down.
