Thread regarding Sodexo layoffs

Sodexo continues to lay off people

A bunch has already been laid off and now they're saying another 700+ will be cut when their contracts expire at the end of June. This is really sad news for a lot of families.

Sodexo is a cut rate Paris based outsourcing company that absolutely does not care about its employees. It’s clear that shareholders interests come first. I worked for this company, including its previous companies Saga, Marriott, Sodexo Marriott and Sodexo for over 42 consecutive years. I didn’t even get a goodbye from my sorry boss. I spent my entire life putting the needs of Sodexo first only to be treated like a piece of dirt. Recently, the division I worked for was eliminated along with about 600 other positions. Sodexo does not care about its people only profits. Think carefully before considering Sodexo as your future employer.

Unfortunately, this is the downside of contract management. I was one of those 700 after a 9 year tenure, the outlook for re-employment will rely on perseverance and having the ability to change to the market demands. It’s not easy and the fact that we weren’t prepared for this pandemic is distasteful, I know I’m not alone, don’t give up!
