It's silly and highly inefficient that management doesn't let employees borrow hardware like monitors, docking stations, computer accessories, etc etc. We all know with all the layoffs they have plenty of equipment just getting depreciated and collecting dust. Meanwhile APA current employees WFH have to go and buy their own equipment to perform their jobs. If you get laid off tomorrow it's just more $$$ you wasted. They could do better use of already bought, not being used resources.
Other companies let you loan equipment or give you small allowance for IT needs.

Hilarious! The IT equipment is worth more than the Company at this point. Premier!
it's hilarious that Apache has no clue what computer hardware they own. None of computes or monitors have tags that connect them to employees or even departments. People just riffle through empty offices scrounging for hardware. Computer equipment probably goes out the door all the time already.
God forbid the company doesn't want to have to track down million dollars worth of equipment that people take home and then just never bother taking back to the office. Just be lucky you still have jobs to complain about
When this started, Midland IT let us grab monitors, keyboard, mouse, etc. IT has been phenomenal to work with. I'd give them a call and maybe you can figure something out.
Some households might have two people working from home and kids attending school remotely, so yes every home has a computer these days, but not always several of them.
This is what happens when you have mo–n MM (VP of IT/Administration) who use to be a salesman for SAP software. How these skills translated to running half the company I don't know. He doesn't even know how to run a department. He just got the position because he went to school with the CEO. He is too busy focused on himself, some select women he hired and his money then anyone else.
It is 2020. Who doesnt have a computer?
Chevron does, and so do others. I worked for a company that did it. And Oxy is in the gutters asking people to email Ted Cruz asking for help... maybe more desperate than Apa these days
No, Oxy doesn't let us take equipment home.
