Getting a serious offer / interview from Google- many other very astute coworkers have already accepted- lots of brain drain will go there. Dell has has infiltrated Vmware management and it appears they will milk the long standing reputation of outstanding technical support with an ignorant voice / corpse with a pulse on the phone. Front line managers who cannot or will not consider learning the product in charge- saying things like “can’t you just fix it?” Getting assigned severity 1 “ production down “ calls because customers can’t upload log files.. it’s time to leave

The VP of Customer Success was last fired from VMware for having an affair with a co-worker - not to mention, the official trip. Someone correct me on this ?
The original post is valid, but I also agree with the warning about Google. They are building what is very much a B-League executive team over there; including the CEO (a very classic Oracle a–hole). The VP of Customer Success was at VMware about ten years ago, and he was a disaster. He's changed jobs every two years since then, and is now running Customer Success at Google Cloud. And this is only the latest set of clowns in GCP's revolving door in the executive ranks.
There has been "brain damage" at VMware for years especially noted on the constant large yearly layoffs no matter how well you are doing.
Be aware that Google has already acquired many of the managers who have contributed to vmware's current state over the years.
