Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

What an embarrassment

This whole place is a disgrace. I was quiet until that shameful letter they wrote for all employees to send. The more appropriate title would have been "Help make Vicki Hollub look like a complete fool." Embarrassing a company is trying to use a global pandemic to save face for a terrible CEO. I have not and will not submit your letter; it might mean my job, but that's how capitalism works. Gov't should not get involved – YOU FAILED VICKI, OWN IT.

Because EOG is probably the best run company in the industry? Maybe that gives them a leg up on everyone else.

How is it EOG is looking like the dark horse to run away with everything?

Agree as well. She needs to resign. She took a good moment in Oxy’s balance sheet and utterly wasted it. Don’t even get me started with all the flimsy reorgs. A company floundering with no strategy, lack of transparency, and weak structure. Her lack of direction is evident by (1) rash decisions made during the course of the M&A (2) the big brain drain she let happen and (3) the large reliance on cronyism that is needed to survive in Oxy.
