We had jobs offered to us with a promised start date. Went through their hellish hiring process and made it through. They pushed back the start date once, then decided “to hell with our promises,” and told us we’re no longer going to be working for GEICO. Will they even contact us when “things are better?” NOPE! Simply told we can re-apply in the future. Meanwhile, they gave back premium $ in the hundreds of millions the next day. They don’t trust employees to work remotely and that was another factor.

Yep, I was offered the job in March with an April start date. I was then told training was going to be postponed until May. A few weeks before my start date, I received a call that they were rescinding my job offer. I was told that I would have to reapply. This was after I had put in my 2 weeks with my current employer, used PTO time for their multiple interviews/role play, and had hair samples taken for the d–g test. Welp, but everything happens for a reason!
Sounds like b—s—. They were all working from home by the time you posted this?
