How many people are disgusted by the amount of people, new college graduates, celebrating their new job starts with Cummins? This is coming on a few short months after Cummins had to destroy the lives of 2-3000 people by stating the economy downturn required them to fire all those people. Does Cummins management believe that nobody sees their lies for what they are? Do these new college graduates not see how this company will treat them in the near future? And most importantly, what can we do as individuals to help the world see how Cummins treats its people? I am doing my part to help people see this in our area. Are you?

Cummins preys on the kids coming out of college thinking they're joining a "big company" and expecting job security. They're used as cheap labor and discarded. I should have known better coming from the DBU but we weren't acquired yet and I had no idea what I was getting into. I hope COVID burns this company to a hollow shell of what it was.
This isn’t new for Cummins, there are just more people on social media seeing it. In 2015, they let thousands of people go as well...and a few years before that...and a few years before that. Before I was let go in 2015, I wasn’t aware of the continuous RIFS or the real amount of people let go. I just assumed underperforming people were let go and I was safe in my bubble. So not true. Awful company.
I would think the original commenter is focusing on the actions of Cummins, not the college grads. The grads should be excited, but do they really know what they are getting into with a company like Cummins?
Those college grads have no choice. They are graduating at a time when jobs are hard to come by. A drowning man holding on to a straw would be an apt metaphor at this time.
I hate to say this, but what I've been hearing is that those same people happy about getting a job from Cummins may not get those jobs or the jobs are recinded. Cummins cut their excempt across the board 20% at least. And you think that those same exempt are getting good pay or even industry standard, no. They are probably (really likely) they are going to have another RIF.
Let's all be honest. Cummins didn't have to destroy those lives, they chose to. The fact these jobs are being filled now shows that very clearly. And it is not just new college graduates celebrating these jobs. There are many experienced people doing the same as they come into Cummins right now.
