Thread regarding Dillard's Inc. layoffs

Will Dillard’s close all of the stores?

200 stores have been closed. What’s the point of closing the majority of the stores and keeping some open? It’s not like the employees at those stores are going to be in any less danger. Are they considering the possibility closing the rest of the stores at this point and can we expect that to happen soon?

As of August 1st 2020 I was terminated from my leave of absence/furlough due to Coronavirus. In late March I was furloughed and Dillard's continued to pay for my health insurance. My reason for termination was so that I could now get Cobra and thus have health insurance because Dillard's was not going to be paying for my health insurance any longer. I will be sent a check for whatever vacation time I had but my sick time of which I had 80+hours worth is gone. There is no guarantee that I will be called back for a position although my manager has expressed that she would like me back and that it might happen in October. But my sick time accumulation will start over if I do return. Thank you to Dillards for paying for my health insurance from March through July but it would have been really helpful to have been paid my sick time that I accumulated but oh well. Cest la vie.
