Same here, they said I broke policy. Never happened. They went so far as to lie to the UIA so I could not get unemployment.

I don't think there are any businesses getting off scott free in this environment. It's never an easy decision to make but businesses need to do what they need to do. Did you ask your manager if you could talk in person?
