Thread regarding Sysco Corp. layoffs

Look for an alternative

Don't expect to be back at work any time soon. This will be a long and painful process and many will most likely find themselves without a job longer than expected - if not permanently. Now is the best time to work on your alternatives. Spruce up your resume, make sure your LinkedIn is updated, call those old friends who might be able to help you out in the future.

When this is over and done with, there will be millions of people looking for a new job. Getting a head start could mean the difference between short and who-knows-how-long unemployment.

Just a friendly advice, ignore me if you think I'm just being paranoid.
