Thread regarding Disney layoffs

At least Disney Streaming Services are safe, right?

With 50 million subscribers already and a service that is being used heavily right now, there shouldn't be any layoffs among Disney Streaming Services employees, right?

Or is it not a guarantee, because Disney has proven over and over again that it will use any opportunity to get rid of as many employees as possible while still being able to run (shoddily) a park/service/whatever?

I would say that while your chances are much better at the Steaming business unit, that there could be layoffs there too.

Most of the recruiting teams were laid off this week. Nothing is safe at Disney right now.

I heard the company was going to lay off baby Yoda and replace him or her with an ANIMATRONIC!

Disney laid off entire teams in March and April 2020 from the Disney Streaming Services group of Direct to Consumer International segment of The Walt Disney Company. The company is in a hiring freeze with plans to layoff many more.

Nobody is safe at Disney. Except maybe Pedro Pascal.
