So many people have lost their jobs and their only source of income. I know it was expected, but that doesn't make it any easier on any of us.
I'm not even sure we'll all be able to return once things go back to normal. Really hard times are ahead for a lot of us...
More people getting furloughed and laid off this week. It seems that senior and advanced level people are getting the worse treatment as a very great employee was let go likely just bc of salary. Will there be an SG as we know it in 6 weeks? It’s doubtful at this point
That is my point, Compliance have 1 person cut is nothing compared to other departments. Scigames has the largest compliance department in the world. Project Management can easily be eliminated by embedding the PM in the department they support and cutting everyone else and saving money on a whole department. I do not get why these departments are not looked at.
From my severance package from last week, I counted 218 positions eliminated (142 from Gaming and 76 from Digital, Corporate and Lottery).
Compliance lost 1 person. But I believe they should be more as the Vegas folks In compliance...really s—!
As far as for the project management team, I agree, we can live without them, most of them are worthless anyways.
R & D Utility Engineering was just furloughed for 4 weeks as of this morning.
I agree why was Compliance not touched, product management or project management. They have one VP and several directors. In fact, the company has the largest project management and compliance department of all the manufacturing companies. Is all this staff necessary? PM is always hiring and advertising openings??? really I say embedd the PM in the department they support and cut the budget.

Curious what Dept's were not hit with cuts hit? I didn't hear of Corp Compliance or Regulatory being hit. Licensing either. I believe this falls under the same VP and if you look the person has a ton of Directors under them and less employees in the group. Not sure why so many are needed. Isn't it the low paying employees who do the actual brunt of the work? Just saying ya'll.
The new ATI leadership should have been a positive impact to the company, however, it appears these people are all part of the same flavor of nepotism and favoritism that has been previously witnessed within the Bally leadership that still exists. This is not to say that there are not many old Shuffle and WMS Leadership in Director and VP roles that should be removed as they serve no purpose and would not be missed. Don't forget the Lottery side - even though this is the bread and butter for the company, you could take a lot off the top and get rid of dead weight like Jessie Pack, Steve Winiarz, Joe Vilardo, Maureen, David Douglas, among a handlful of names.

I feel there are more VPs that can be added to your list....M. Mitchell, the VP of product and project management and game dev along with compliance and manufacturing etc.. get rid of the old Bally people and clean house.
Nepotism and favoritism destroyed this company’s culture long time ago. Too many people are hanging around and not performing continues to k–l the company. Many of the Directors and VP's do not know really how to manage and have terrible leadership and management abilities otherwise they would have stepped up and took care of dead weight years ago. These ppl do not let their managers manage their ppl and if they did some of the ones RIF would have been managed out of the company which would have allowed good ppl who work hard to stay like myself. Upper management should take the blame for the performance of the company prior to the furloughs and the COVID. As an industry gaming is a complete lose right now. SG should consider cleaning house with his CSUITE Team and look in that closet

A dramatic change is unlikely to happen very soon. But at least CEO can replace some upper management. We have more besides these that should go - many more if they each take off a VP in each division you will see millions in savings right away...considering how much each make, their holdings and bonuses. if SG was smart they would save themselves.
Why is the lottery and class II getting hit? The lottery is live in many states and has revenue. What about Compliance and Class III PM's
Project management on lottery/digital content studio side was hit also. We definitely lost one lady who’s been around for a while. Not sure about the rest of the team yet. Also many dev furloughs on lottery/dcs teams.
Class II Product Management and Project Management were hit. An email went out from Project Management to let other departments know who was no longer with the company and how the work would be absorbed. Some very long time employees had their positions eliminated.
I did not hear of anything today. I did email a couple of friends to see if they're still working but nobody has replied yet.

Some people are getting severance and some are not.
Are they offering severance? If they are and you accept I think you also waive your right to any lawsuits. Plus, I don't see anyone having a valid case anyway when you consider this business is losing money hand over foot and RIF's is a way to minimize the damage.
These layoffs are so unfair. Why are some departments spared?? and why are there VPs working with no staff under them? QA, IT, Project Management and Compliance did not get any cuts or layoffs why?? they have staff that was just hired they do not need, they have levels of Directors. PM can be eliminated and those people embedded in the departments they support will save money. I am sorry but I do not see how management made these decisions other than favoritism. There will be lawsuits over this.
Too many layoffs in LV this week but not as many where they should be hitting to tighten the belt buckle and watch the funds in and out., There is total favoritism going on. Operations has people working who should be furloughed since we are not building nor shipping games right now and i am not sure if the ones we like should be . They have VPS working and so many Directors - and the friends of the VPS working "so called essential" employees to make the business rock and roll. Well, i can tell you that they hired a new SR Director in OM who is not essential, nor is the ones working as they retained people to work to allow them to retain their jobs and money coming. So this goes for all the ones in OPS working - the select "choosen" to do the work or not work, If new management wants to look at cutting and making right cuts they would look at Operations VPS and DIrectors as they heavy in the number of VPS who have not taken cuts and promised everyone working they can work 40 hours while people sit at home furloughed or terminated trying to get to the unemployment line while social distancing. Then go take a look at Larry Frank's Team and IT process people and ask yourself why do they need so many VPS working so hard to maintan New Director and VP for Purchasing and Kaizen in their jobs when they can get the real workers to do the jobs and get more bang for the bucks spent. Same question is asked about Finance and Operations...what is the need to have so many of these people working when we are in a furlough period? If SG thinks these people are the saviors and will bring them to the next level then new management needs a wake up call By the way, HR if you cant see or care about the favoritism going on then wake up, look around

This is amazing to me, and my department has not been hit and nobody salaries were cut and there's 16 + people in my department a VPN with five directors.
How are these cuts and furloughs / layout being decided?

My department did not get hit not sure why we have a VP with 5 directors and more staff than needed. We just hired two people and all of us wondered why... the layoffs and furloughs seem to have favoritism. Not that I am trying to talk myself out of job but I just do not get how they did the selections. My best friend got hit and it was not right he is a hard worker with low pay.
Many Gaming Ops and Field Service positions were eliminated. Not sure about the other departments.
