Yes, the USB is blocked from connecting to any storage device. This is done as a precaution while working through a reduction of 30% to 60%.

Or MMC, or network your home computer etc. So many ways around that bs even if they block usb drives. Think outside the box people.

Anyone with half of a brain cell should’ve gotten everything they’ve needed from their computer by now.

You won't be able to download material from your computer before they lay you off. Been there done that.

There's a fix on Yammer, go to either the Remote Work group or Desktop Collaboration and you can see how to fix it.

Nope. Not your device manager. It’s an admin policy set by Halliburton on the backend. Device manager won’t do squat to change it.

Lmao... you have to get approval from your device manager in Windows.

This is 100% true and confirmed. It was NOT an IT mess up. You have to get approval from your manager and IT to get access back to use a flash drive. And you have to have a business reason for it.

Calm down guys. The USB thing was a f— up in IT when the new antivirus patch went out. They have been sending out emails with instructions on how to fix it. It wasn't intentional.

So if your USB doesn't work does that mean you're getting cut? Or did they disable everyone's?

Halliburton is racist? Their affirmative action hires have been disastrous for the company.

I really think it’s not 60%. 60% is way too much. Just some people throw some statements here without any knowledge.

It’s only racist if it is not true.

You are an id–t. They aren’t laying off 60% of the company. It will be about 30% like last time which equates to about 10,000 people.

Reading through the topics for this company has led me to believe that the company is inherently racist and incredibly stupid. No wonder the world sees Halliburton as a joke and the stock is almost junk status. I really do not think most of would be able to find gainful employment in a real industry.
