Stock $16.45 after hours on possible news of Saudi and Russia truce. Could we actually be coming out of this a little.

How the f$@k is shorting Oxy a reason for being terminated for cause, when that's not part of any agreement? That is not a reason for being terminated for cause. Besides, Oxy is so clueless, they have absolutely no idea if I'm shorting them or not. As long as I'm not using my work computer (which I'm not), they have no idea. And even if I was using my work computer, I doubt their brainless IT department could figure anything out. What a joke.
Getting terminated for cause means no COC dumb a–!
Hey @1mcf, I'm LAPC, so I have no employment agreement with Oxy. I never signed a thing. I can short all I want. If Oxy wants to lay me off, great, as that's what I've wanted all this time (and have told them so many times). Give me my severance package and I will gladly leave. If not, then I'll make some money on the side.
Buy puts - its worth it.
How sad and pathetic does this look? https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Shale-Giant-Calls-For-Federal-Help-As-Oil-Prices-Fail-To-Bounce-Back.html
Amazing how anti-government/regulation positions and lobbying turn on a dime.
well, surprise, that's probably what they're referring to... buying Put options... looks like it was a good bet coming out of the over hyped OPEC deal. Oxy back to $10 soon...
You don't "buy" a short position unless you're buying put options.
Your employment agreement forbids you from shorting $OXY
Sell it all: You might as well hedge yourself. Short Oxy, and you win one way or another. If we go down, at least you make a little side money. If we go up, your shorts will be bad, but your employment and Oxy shares will do fine. Makes sense to me. Besides, I hate to say it, but shorting Oxy is probably the better bet at this point.
is it bad that I'm buying short positions for the company I work for???
I would be really surprised if a deal is reached
