They forward the emails because no management ever makes a decision they just send the emails and hopes someone will do it. All are chicken sh–s too scared to do their job too scared they will lose their job
I personally know of unqualified and boot-lick managers who made it till now after all the layoffs, these are the guys who FW: emails around and don't do ANY work for the company other than increasing CO2 emission by flooding emails. "i.e.". Does the company value these people over people who do actual work? Where is this company going towards? SMH.
Liferdog is a total CLINT. I know who she is.
So what happens if you don't answer the phone? Especially if its not a wft phone?
You think? More leaving? Well it’s Friday If Wft was serious about saving money, they should drop that fancy building at SJP and move in a vacant Kmart building. I’ll keep a low profile and keep working.
More to come on Friday. Get ready supply chain at corporate or wherever you are located in Houston! It’s your time and wanted to thank you for your time. God Bless
Update - Only the people who didn't attend their phone are saved. Rest 6k, best of luck.
You can the junk as phone. We just arent paying for it anymore. If you want to get stupod

Lifefrog is just a pot stirrer...a troll if you will. This person has an irritating moniker [Lifefrog?!] and vomits words on these boards just to irritate. Arrogant @$$H#!e. Good luck to everyone else.

They will shut your phone off
If they call you, how will they get your phone? Maybe we shouldn't answer and make it easy on them.
Its notbpretty but its happening. Look at this as a time to polish your skills😊😊😊smile
Lol
Haven’t seen any layoffs in Kern county yet. Management keeps everything a secret so be prepared for the lay-off by phone call...
Lay offs over the phone during the Covid19 crisis has become the norm. It is not about disrespect it is about keeping personal interactions to a minimum. This paradigm shift has affected all of us. Service companies like Weatherford, and many others, are under pressure from their clients to reduce pricing while maintaining a high level of competent services. The declining prices affects budgets as the producers (Weatherford’s clients) slash their costs forcing contractors like Weatherford to oblige. The companies that restructure and operate at lower price points will survive. If a company has debt obligations in this market will continually cut staff and salaries to meet their credit obligations. It is families that suffer from poor business decisions, and the shareholder structure of this industry. The shareholders want to make money. This mindset of “always need to make more and more money” is achieved off the backs of the hard working employees of contractors. 5 years of constant wage reductions, lay offs. Which in turn forces pressure on the family which always boils down to affecting children. Responsible business practices from all players in the industry is what is needed. I have very little faith that will happen.
Haven’t seen nothing yet. Going to be a bad year.
"This is the oilfield" ... as an excuse for? Incompetence? Unethical maneuvering? Mistreat of staff? Nepotism? O&G ain't the only tough business pal. Keep thinking you're the real bad-ss and blablablall is valid for the dollar. Enjoy. All the best for the honest field front line doers and their families.
They have no respect for employees freaking A Holes.
That’s what I’ve been doing, riding cowboys, and haven’t gotten bucked off. I heard their not done.
This is the oilfield, people. It can get pretty rough. If you came the oilpatch for stability you made a mistake. Ride em caboy!
Its a tough game. Some will be retained some will be let go. It is not easy for the people that do the firing either trust me ive been there
